Changing Seasons

The nights are closing in, the children are back to school and the leaves are changing colour. Pumpkin spice is everywhere you turn and boots and jumpers are no longer relegated to the back of your wardrobe. Now is a good time to overhaul your skincare and makeup routines. As the temperature drops so can the moisture levels in your skin. A richer moisture and serums containing hyaluronic acid will help stop your skin drying out. Keep wearing your sunscreen through for those days the sun does make an appearance.

Wooly scarf time means it's time to warm up your makeup too. Swap out corals and pinks for plums and cocoas on the cheeks. Burgundy, dark purples and the blackest blackcurrants for the lips are perfect for the cooler months. Release your inner vamp! Try Nars Scarlet Empress, MAC Diva or Illamasqua Shard. If you prefer a glossy finish then take a look at MAC's Vamplify in Peer Pressure or With Gusto or Smashbox Be Legendary in Legendary or Vivid Violet.
Healthy, fresh skin is still big this season with highlighting and illuminating still very much a trend. Try Illamasqua Beyond Powder in OMG or Benefit Watt's Up.
Eyeliner was everywhere at the AW2016 shows, whether it's graphic, bold or smudgy in any colour you like as long as it's black.

Hair colour gets warmer too around this time of year, take those beach frazzled locks and treat them to a treatment, whether it's a hot oil pack that you do yourself or you book yourself into your nearest salon, your hair will thank you for it. Colour wise, if you're blonde ask for golden or caramel tones, if you're dark, chocolate and tobacco will look gorgeous.
Don't forget your hands, a rich hand cream and some warm gloves will keep the chapping at bay. Nail colours to choose for this time of year are taupe and greige (beige with an undertone of grey) for a subtle look or classic black or deep, dark reds if you fancy bolder tones.
Now get out there and embrace these fresh, autumnal days before it gets really chilly!
